To find the office, search for "DoorDash Austin" on Google Maps. We're very close to the intersection of I-35 and Braker Lane, just off of the southbound I-35 Frontage Road.

Dasher Information

DELIVERY PAY

Dashers are paid per delivery as well as 100% of all gratuities paid by the customer.  Current delivery pay is:

  • North Austin: $5 per delivery
  • Central Austin: $7 per delivery
  • South Austin: $7 per delivery
  • Round Rock: $5 per delivery
  • Cedar Park: $5 per delivery

We’re excited to expand the test of an updated pay model to Dashers in the coming weeks. The new approach is designed to make delivery pay more fair, more transparent, and more consistent. As we roll this new model out, the current pay model will still be in effect for many Dashers (the above noted per delivery + 100% of customer tips). Check your email or the FAQ for more info.

DASHER MINIMUM PAY GUARANTEES
For new areas DoorDash may guarantee a certain level of earnings during your dash if you meet particular requirements.

Current Minimums Programs: 

  • $9/hr guaranteed minimum pay, all day in all Cedar Park, Round Rock, South Austin and Central Austin 

Minimums Requirements:
To qualify for these minimums programs, you must do the following each dash: 

  • Accept 80% of delivery opportunities offered to you

DASHER DEACTIVATION POLICY

Please see the Deactivation Policy here for more information. Dashers who fall below the listed threshold may be subject to deactivation.

  • Minimum Rating: 4.2

DoorDash Drive

With DoorDash Drive, restaurants needing to deliver larger or bulk orders can request a Dasher to their location directly.  These orders typically pay at a higher rate, are larger in size and sometimes longer in duration than the average 'marketplace' delivery.

Requirements to qualify for DoorDash Drive:
To qualify for these minimums programs, you must do the following each dash: 

  • Complete 100 deliveries

    FAQ

    What if I have an issue or run into a problem with an order while on a dash? 

    Support is available both in the Dasher app during a dash as well as on the web at doordash.com/help. 

    My app isn't working, what do I do? 

    Please make sure you are on the latest version of the app, which can be found in the Google Play Store (Android) or at this link (iOS), restart your phone, and log back in.  If you are still having issues, please visit doordash.com/help to submit a support request, and file the issue on the Texas Dasher Bug Report Form

    Do I have to wear my DoorDash t-shirt or use any DoorDash supplies?

    While we do not require you to wear your red DoorDash shirt or use a hot bag/blanket, certain restaurants do require it and may not release the order to you if you do not.  This will typically be indicated in the instructions for each order, if applicable.
