Overview

Use the steps below if you encounter any app issues. If you're still having issues, help us troubleshot by submitting your information on this Help Form (click here).
Step 1: Refresh your app, by swiping down
Note: For Android users, you can also touch Sync.
Step 2: Check your connection
  1. Test your connection by opening a website in your mobile browser (Safari or Chrome).

    This may not work if you’re talking on the phone. Some carriers don’t allow both data and voice simultaneously.
    • If you can open a website, continue to Step 3: Force close your app.
    • If you can't open a website, continue to the next step.
  2. Try opening a website again on your mobile browser.

    If you still can’t open a website try:
    • Turn off your Wi-Fi settings.
    • Reset your cellular connection.
      • For Android users: In your quick status bar (slide down from the top of the screen), touch Location to turn it off and on.
      • For iPhone users: Touch Settings > Cellular > and touch Cellular Data to turn it off and on.
    If you can open a website, continue to Step 3: Force close your app
Step 3: Force close your app

For Android users

  1. Open your device's Settings menu
  2. TouchApps
  3. Select the app from the list
  4. Touch Force stop

For iPhone (iOS) users

  1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see a small preview of your recently used apps.
  2. Swipe left to find the DoorDash app to close.
  3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
Step 4: Uninstall & reinstall the app

For Android users

  1. Touch All Apps on any Home screen
  2. Touch and hold the "DoorDash Dasher" app to uninstall.
  3. Drag it to the icon at the top of the screen that says "Uninstall."

For iPhone (iOS) users
  1. Touch and hold the "Dasher" app icon on the Home screen until the icon jiggles, then touch X.

Step 5: Restart your phone

For Android users

  1. Press and hold the Power button until the menu pops up.
  2. Touch Power off or Restart
  3. Touch OK to confirm
  4. Press and hold the Power button until your device starts.
For iPhone (iOS) users
  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears (3–7 seconds).
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completley off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake again until you see the Apple logo.
